BRAVE, CREATIVE KIDS

Outside Art

Outside art is all about freedom and big movement. Chalk, spray bottles, and open space give kids a chance to create on a larger scale and explore materials in ways that feel fresh and exciting.

  • ICE CREAM CHALK

When you need to add some pizzazz to chalk drawing outside, I recommend changing the chalk shape. My students and my kids love ice cream chalk and unicorn chalk more than standard chalk.

  • WATER BOTTLE SPRAY PAINTING

Water bottle spray painting is so much fun. If you fill these with a few drops of liquid watercolor, and lay out a big canvas drop-cloth, direct the kids to make a beautiful spray painting on the cloth. We even do this inside and it’s a big hit.

  • WATER MAT PAINTING

Art on the go! I used to to take this art pad with us anywhere. You fill the little pen with water and your child can draw on the mat. No mess, easy to transport.
